Survey

The Department of General Services (DGS), Bureau of Diversity, Inclusion and Small Business Opportunities (BDISBO) administers the Marcellus Shale Survey to those registered unconventional gas producers listed with the Department of Environmental Protection. All responses reflect Producer efforts and subcontracting opportunities during reporting period timeframe. Act 13 requires Producers to respond to the survey within 90 days.

Relevant Survey Dates for FY 2021-22:

  • Reporting Period: April 1, 2021 - March 31, 2022
  • Survey Issue Date: January 13, 2023
  • Survey Responses Due: On or before April 13, 2023
  • Final Report: June 12, 2023

  • COSTARS
    COSTARS is Pennsylvania's cooperative purchasing program. The COSTARS program provides registered local public procurement units, as well as state affiliated entities, (together “members”) and suppliers a tool to find and do business with each other effectively through the use of a contract established by DGS. 
  • The PA Diverse Business Financing Initiative consists of capitalizing revolving loan funds managed by local economic development service providers, including Certified Economic Development organizations and Community Development Financing Institutions. The initiative supports lending to diverse businesses, including MBEs, WBEs, VBEs, SDVBEs, DOBEs, LGBTBEs, and more.
