What is Job Order Contracting?

Job Order Contracting (JOC) is a mechanism to deliver the Commonwealth’s portfolio of agency small construction projects. Since its inception, JOC has had an estimated value totaling $50 to $70 million.

The Commonwealth has 15 Job Order Contracting (JOC) Service Contracts encompassing each of the following disciplines and regions:

Disciplines:

  • General Construction
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical

Regions:

  • Northeastern
  • Northcentral
  • Northwestern
  • Southeastern
  • Southcentral
  • Southwestern

The Base Term of the Job Order Contract is two (2) years. There are three (3) Option Terms. The duration of each Option Term is (1) year. The Commonwealth and the JOC Contractor(s) must agree to extend the Job Order Contract for all Option Terms.

Who Will Benefit?

Participation will afford attendees the opportunity to network and market their goods and services directly to the awarded JOC program general construction, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical prime contractors for each of the six regions of the commonwealth. The JOC program will provide prime and subcontracting opportunities in construction (all disciplines) and professional design for agencies undertaking construction, renovation and maintenance projects with a total value of $300,000 or less.

Why?

The JOC program will provide prime and subcontracting opportunities in construction and professional design for agencies undertaking construction, renovation and maintenance projects with a total value of $300,000 or less. Participation in the upcoming JOC Networking Fairs will afford attendees the opportunity to network and market their goods and services directly to awarded JOC program prime contractors in a five-to-seven (5-7) minute pitch of the aforementioned disciplines for each region of the commonwealth.

Registration

Registration is required. Please complete the registration form by accessing one or more of the links above. During the registration process, you will need to rank the prime contractor(s) with whom you wish to share your five-to-seven (5-7) minute marketing pitch. A list of prime contractors in addition to a map of the regions defining the counties has been included in the Eventbrite.
